Planning is expected to be given soon on a project involving extensive overhaul, refurbishment and extension of an existing bungalow in a conservation area setting in rural Wiltshire. This will create a new generous new family home with a doubled footprint as compared to the original house. The concept is to create a low energy building with the new extension constructed using low-carbon and low embodied energy materials for the new build, and significant thermal upgrades to the existing retained part of the building.
