This was a conservation project which included preparation and submission for listed building consent on a number of Grade II listed domestic buildings.

The work involved on the house pictured below covered the re-rendering of the southwest façade of the house and around areas of internal wall to the outbuildings, and alteration of the southwest boundary wall. The client returned to us for the planning liaison required for consent for re-roofing the outbuildings in new slate. Aside from preparation and submission of listed building consent forms and planning permission, works have included liaison with the local authority, preparation of typical details and consultation over specification of materials.

Works for a cottage in the same village have been of a similar nature, to gain consent to replace existing single glazed timber windows with new slimline timber double glazed windows, affording the owners greater thermal comfort while retaining the character and aesthetics of the original building, and we are currently working on a project to extend a Grade II listed ex-farmhouse at first floor.
